Radio Naturopath Episode 552: Cold Treatment, PEA (Palmitoylethanolamide), Urolithin A & Heart Failure, Sugar Drinks and Stomach Cancer
This week, I talked about my decision to take antibiotics for a possible sinus infection. I am still doing lots of natural medicine stuff, but I want to scare the infection out quickly so I can get my pain injection in a couple of weeks! It's OK to use both natural and convention medicine when needed. I talked about a great compound, PEA (palmitoylethanolamide, say the 3x fast) which is helpful for nerve pain, inflammation, and mood. One of the ways that it works is to access the endocannabinoid system! It's helping with my nerve pain! Then I talked about ellagitannins and urolithin A which improve heart failure parameters, and the increased risk of stomach cancer from too many sugary drinks.
